( follow pre drilled locating holes )
#4
Over the top of your 4x2 frame place flashing tape
( supplied ) you can tape over fixing brackets
#5
Dry fit glazing unit ( once you are happy with the fit remove the glazing unit & proceed to #6 )
Note ; there must be space for a beed of silicone where the glazing unit meets the 4x2 frame while still touching the inner window unit.
#6
Run a generous beed of all weather silicone around the top of your 4x2 frame
#7
On the window frame, peel off tape to expose sticky foam, place glazing unit into your window frame now, gentle pressure is required here making sure the glazing unit is stuck to the foam gasket & silicone bead,
Note ; placing the glazing unit on for the final time can require two people as final adjustments are very difficult after the foam gasket has bonded to the glazing unit ,
It is also important not to allow water or dust to foul the foam gasket while it is exposed.
